He is currently Ghana’s most vibrant stage performer and fastest growing new celebrity in the 2011 showbiz calendar.

The populace in West African can already feel the media pressure on Ghana’s most celebrated UN Volunteers Ambassador and the “Twipop” star. Darlington Kwasi Agyekum Gilverson, born in Tema the industrial city of Ghana in July 20th in the 80’s and the founder of the “Twipop” genre started his music life in his early school days.

Dr Cryme (Creative Rhymes You Most Enjoy) is his showbiz name and is also usually termed the “Tema Eminem” or “The General”. He enrolled at Datus School for his basic education and later attended Asutech (Cape Coast), Sotech (Somanya) and finally Ghana Institute of Journalism where he earned a certificate in broadcast journalism.

E-Jam Records officially outdoored him to the public through the biggest exposure party ever to hit Ghana. June 2010 at the Bacardis sports bar presented the most glamorous platform for the new artist to be exposed with immense support from celebrities around the world and his able UN volunteers.

Dr Cryme is very passionate about his innovation “Twipop” which is an extreme fusion of the modern day rap structure in Ghana and the foreign RnB/Hip Hop.

Dr Cryme is a multipurpose celebrity whose specializations include singing, rapping, presenting and beat making. His newly introduced “Twipop” genre has numerous followers across the country especially young musicians from Ghana’s Industrial City, Tema. He presents the best video countdown show in Ghana called the 4syte top ten and became an overnight celebrity after featuring on the first-class Busta Rhyme concert in Accra, Ghana.

Dr. Cryme Darlington has shared same stage with world renowned artist namely Spliff Star, Busta Rhyme, Rick Ross and more. His hit single “Kill Me Shy” which will officially be released in 2011 with the “finally finally” album has enjoyed the best of promotions in the first and second quarter of 2011.

The video was outdoored with a corporate launch and a premiere Jam, the first to have had such a line-up in the country. He will be the first new artist to have performed at UK’s party in the park without an album release.
